Microsoft is preparing to introduce a new computer system for entering passwords for Microsoft accounts.

  • Microsoft has made this decision as a result of finding a solution that makes it difficult for users to forget passwords and remember large numbers of passwords.
  • As mentioned by Microsoft, Microsoft intends to provide a "Pass wordless Account" option for all users in the future. The feature will be rolled out to all users via Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft OneDrive in the next few weeks.
  • Vasu Jakkal, Microsoft's corporate vice president of security, posted a blog post last Wednesday, "You can now completely remove your passwords from your 11 Microsoft accounts."

  • Users can use the Microsoft Authenticator app to sign-in to their accounts instead of the current password system. This releases a new Unique Pin every few seconds. Also, with Windows' biometrics-based technology "Windows Hello" you can use facial recognition, a fingerprint or a unique pin. If desired, users can purchase a Microsoft external security key and store the Login Information, Register Phone Number and Verification Code on this USB Drive.
  • The reason for this decision is that during the global epidemic of Covid 19, many users around the world have become accustomed to working from home. Microsoft claims that a large number of users' passwords have been hacked during this period. Passwords obtained here are more likely to be put up for sale on the Dark Web and such incidents have been reported.

  • According to Microsoft, there are 579 password attacks worldwide every second, and about 18 billion password attacks a year. As a result, Microsoft has made this decision.
