Apple Corps has reduced the number of iPhone 13 phones to 80 million due to a shortage of chips

  • Apple has decided to limit the production of the iPhone 13, which was unveiled earlier this year. This is due to the worldwide shortage of chipsets. According to a report by Bloomberg, Apple had planned to produce 90 million iPhone 13 phones in October, November and December, but decided to reduce it to 80 million.
  • According to the report, Apple has stated that it does not provide enough hardware for Broadcom and Texas Linstruments. The display for Apple is provided by Texas Lnstruments and the wireless hardware is supplied by Broadcom.
  • Luca Maestri, Apple's chief financial officer, made the following statement.
  • Apple has faced a whip shortage in the past, but due to the strong financial viability of its purchasing power, it has been able to continue its supply chain effortlessly. However, due to the difficulty in obtaining the raw materials required by the above companies, Apple has not been able to overcome the shortage this time. However, it is still too early to say exactly what will happen to the iPhone 13 in this situation.
  • However, Apple is not the only company facing a shortage of raw materials, and other mobile phone manufacturers, automakers and GPU manufacturers are facing a shortage of chips, which has led to a sharp rise in GPU prices in recent years.
